WHO WE ARE...
A lifelong horror fan, Dana Berry has channeled years of “study” and written his first horror feature, The Killdren. The feature screenplay won best Horror Comedy Feature Screenplay at the Atlanta After Dark Film Festival. In order to promote the screenplay, Dana wrote and directed the short film teaser, The Killdren Are Coming. The short has screened at over a dozen genre film festivals and won several awards, including Best Horror Film Trailer (Oregon Screams Film Festival) and Best Directorial Debut (Adbhooture Film Festival).
Dana is the writer and co-director of the short horror film, The Little Curse, which won Best Slasher/Splatter Short Horror Film at Another Hole in the Head Film Festival in San Francisco as well as screening at Panic Fest, Chattanooga Film Festival and others. He is currently writing a feature screenplay based on the short film. Dana has a background in post-production and music. He resides in Oakland, CA, hailing from Boston with a stopover in LA. IMDB |
Miro Seppänen is a Finnish director, producer, and developer with a deep-rooted passion for cinema. Splitting his time between running a touring movie theatre and developing new creative projects, Miro has immersed himself in the world of filmmaking. Among his notable achievements is the short film Groundfloor, which received a screenwriting grant from the Finnish Film Foundation.
Throughout his career, Miro has contributed to over 20 short films, working primarily in Finland, but also gaining international experience in the UK and the US. His work has been showcased at international film festivals, earning accolades such as honorable mentions and best short film awards. Additionally, he founded a small film festival in his Finnish hometown, fostering local talent and building valuable connections within the community. Known for his pitching and networking skills, Miro thrives on collaboration and storytelling. He has a particular passion for horror and narratives with meaningful messages. Jamie Bianchi is a Bay Area writer and director. Working on projects like “All Rise for the Dead” and “Carnivore Machine”, a zombie courtroom drama and a comedy cultist thriller respectively, he finds obsessions in all corners of genre. His passion project, “Postshift”, a sci fi graphic novel about an apocalyptic fable, is currently being illustrated by its co-creator Marcus Allen.
For the past two years he and Uttara Valluri have been writing micro-episode fantasy novellas for apps like FlexTV, Handcloud and Reelshort. Most of all, with Box of Earth Films, he and Miro Seppånen have jumped into multiple new projects since completing their short, “Krakens Maw”. The absurdist heavy metal comedy is followed by “All Rise for the Dead” and “Newsiniki”, a film noir set on a derelict Finnish space station. It is with Box of Earth Films and his collaboration with Miro and their partner Dana Berry, that Jamie marries his obsessions with comedy, fantasy, sci fi and horror. IMDB |
